Housing and Construction Award Winning Home 2015
The original 1960's house was moved from the family cane farm South of Tully and relocated to a steep site, overlooking Dunk Island, at South Mission Beach.
A second level loft area and balcony were added to capture the ocean views and the renovation included the addition of a new concrete and masonry block carport.
As much of the original timber framing and unique handmade timber trusses were retained in the final design along with some of the original joinery and the majority of the timber flooring. Timber bridges link the carport to the house for easy access.
